My HVAC needed servicing. The company that installed my furnace informed me they no longer serviced our area. The original company was meant to get back to me, but did not. I saw a local ad for Wilson River Electric LLC and called. Winter is upon us! Mike(electrician) gave me Billy’s #(HVAC) and he assessed my furnace quickly and discovered more than just cleaning/servicing maintenance. It’s Thanksgiving week. He ordered the motor-still barely under warranty and installed it plus maintenance 11/28-the day after Thanksgiving. He explained everything to me and is doing a follow-up tiny fix. They will be back in the Spring to service my AC. Communication and punctuality were 5 stars.Posted on Google![]()

When Washington County summers arrive, a reliable air conditioning system is not a luxury; it is a necessity. From the established neighborhoods of Beaverton and Hillsboro to the farmsteads and rural properties of Forest Grove, Cornelius, and the coastal communities of Tillamook County, Wilson River Electric & HVAC provides the full range of air conditioning services that homeowners and businesses in this region depend on.
Our service area spans the diverse geography of western Oregon, from the tech corridors along Cornell Road and the residential neighborhoods surrounding Intel’s Hillsboro campus, out through the Tualatin Valley’s agricultural communities, and over the Coast Range into Tillamook. Every community we serve has different cooling needs, different housing stock, and different seasonal challenges. We understand all of them, and we are ready to help.

Wilson River Electric & HVAC has deliberately built our team and capabilities to match the range of properties and climates we work in. From dense residential neighborhoods to rural farms and coastal communities, our licensed HVAC technicians bring the same expertise and professionalism to every job.
We install central air in homes that previously relied on window units, maintain and repair existing systems, and install ductless mini-splits where new ductwork is not practical or cost-effective.
We provide AC installation, replacement, annual maintenance, and repair services for all major brands, and we are familiar with local permitting through the City of Hillsboro Building Division.
We handle new installations in older homes without existing ductwork, equipment upgrades for aging systems, and annual maintenance before the heat arrives.
We provide diagnostics, repair, replacement, and preventive air conditioning services for residential homes as well as small commercial and agricultural properties.
We serve communities along Highway 6 and the Wilson River corridor, including Tillamook, Garibaldi, and nearby areas, with coastal-climate heat pump and cooling expertise.
From Beaverton and Hillsboro through Forest Grove, Cornelius, Banks, and surrounding communities, we bring local knowledge and regional reach to every AC call.
Whatever your cooling need, including new installation, urgent repair, or annual tune-up, our licensed HVAC technicians have the training and equipment to handle it right.
Our licensed HVAC technicians diagnose and repair central AC, heat pump cooling, and ductless mini-split systems with a repair-first philosophy whenever reliable repair makes financial sense.
We size every new installation based on square footage, insulation, window exposure, duct condition, and local climate data using Manual J load calculation methodology.
Annual maintenance improves efficiency, extends equipment life, reduces breakdown risk, and helps keep manufacturer warranty documentation current.
Mini-splits are quiet, efficient, and ideal for older homes, additions, converted spaces, and targeted zone cooling where ductwork is not practical.
Heat pumps provide heating in winter and efficient cooling in summer, making them a versatile choice for Washington County and Tillamook County homes.
We help you evaluate SEER2 ratings, operating costs, high-efficiency equipment, and potential Energy Trust of Oregon rebate documentation.
Western Oregon spends much of the year in mild, wet conditions where air conditioning is rarely needed. That long stretch of inactivity is one of the strongest arguments for annual maintenance because systems that sit unused for eight to nine months can develop issues that only become apparent on the first hot day of summer.
Without regular service, coils collect dirt and debris, refrigerant levels drift, electrical connections loosen, and mechanical components wear. The result is a system that works harder, consumes more electricity, and is more likely to fail when appointment availability is tight.
Most air conditioning failures develop gradually. Catching these symptoms early is almost always less costly and less disruptive than waiting for a complete failure on a hot July afternoon.
If you are facing an aging system, a failed compressor, or a home that has never had central air conditioning, Wilson River Electric & HVAC guides you through assessment, load calculation, option selection, and installation without overselling equipment you do not need.
Works with existing forced-air ductwork to cool the whole home from a single outdoor unit. Best for homes with existing ducts.
Provides both heating and cooling in a single system. Best for homes replacing gas systems in Oregon's moderate climate.
Requires no ductwork and is ideal for older homes, room additions, converted spaces, and targeted zone cooling.
Higher SEER2 ratings deliver more cooling per dollar of electricity consumed and can reduce operating costs over time.
When your air conditioner fails on one of western Oregon’s hottest days, you cannot afford to wait. Wilson River Electric & HVAC prioritizes emergency AC repair calls for homeowners and businesses throughout Beaverton, Hillsboro, Forest Grove, Cornelius, and across Tillamook County.
We dispatch a licensed HVAC technician as quickly as possible, diagnose the failure accurately, and restore your cooling as fast as the job safely allows. We do not just reset the breaker and leave; we identify why the failure happened and ensure the underlying issue is fully corrected.
Homeowners want more than a contractor who can turn a wrench. They want someone who shows up on time, communicates honestly, does the work right, and stands behind it. That is the standard Wilson River Electric & HVAC holds itself to on every job.
Google-verified customer feedback reflects quality workmanship, transparent pricing, and dependable service.
Licensed, insured, and registered with Oregon's Construction Contractors Board.
Deep familiarity with Washington County, Tillamook County, local climate patterns, housing stock, and permitting requirements.
Honest recommendations and written estimates before work begins, without pressure or hidden agendas.
Annual maintenance is the standard recommendation for all AC systems in Washington County. Spring is the ideal time to schedule so your system is inspected, cleaned, and ready before temperatures climb.
Common causes include a refrigerant leak, dirty or frozen evaporator coil, failed compressor, dirty condenser, or thermostat issue. A professional diagnosis is needed to identify the problem accurately.
Yes. Western Oregon’s relatively mild climate is well matched to heat pump systems, which provide efficient cooling in summer and effective heating in winter.
Yes. Service includes Tillamook County communities along Highway 6, the Wilson River corridor, and the coastal Tillamook area. Call 971-757-0807 to confirm scheduling availability.
Most central AC installations and heat pump replacements are completed in a single day. Ductless mini-split timelines vary by number of zones.
Wilson River Electric & HVAC services all major air conditioning and heat pump brands and recommends new equipment based on warranty support, reliability, home fit, and budget.
Yes. Maintenance agreements simplify annual service scheduling, provide priority booking during peak season, and may include repair discounts.
If repair costs exceed 50% of replacement cost and the system is more than 10 to 12 years old, replacement is often the smarter long-term investment. Wilson River Electric & HVAC provides honest guidance either way.
Whether you need emergency repair, a new installation, or an annual tune-up, Wilson River Electric & HVAC is ready to help. Local, licensed, and serving Beaverton, Hillsboro, Forest Grove, Cornelius, Tillamook, and the communities in between.
